Update:The crash occurred at about 1:07pm this afternoon. Police have identified the bicycle rider as Willard Franklin Cochran II of Caroline Avenue in Auburndale. The driver of the 2002 Ford F-150 Pick up is Lary Leroy Hebdon Jr. of 813 Arietta Circle in Auburndale. (Yes Lary is spelled correctly)
Mr. Cochran was riding his bicycle down Ruthven towards Lake Ariana Blvd. The section of Ruthven Mr. Cochran was riding on is a downward hill. Mr. Cochran rode into the intersection of Lake Ariana Blvd. into the path of the pick up truck.
Mr. Hebdon Jr was not injured in the crash and was wearing his seatbelt, he was alone in the truck.

Auburndale, Florida – Auburndale police are working a traffic fatality on Lake Ariana Blvd and Ruthven Drive in Auburndale. An adult bicyclist was riding on Ruthven towards Lake Ariana Blvd and rode into the path of a northbound Ford pickup truck driving on Lake Ariana Blvd. The bicyclist was pronounced dead on the scene.
